Eve Air Mobility has accumulated 72 flights with its full-scale, remotely piloted engineering demonstrator, CEO Johann Bordais said in an Aviation Week interview published October 14, 2026. That figure is a cumulative programme total, not the number flown during the week of publication.
Bordais said the aircraft is expanding its transition-flight envelope toward wingborne flight, with the lift propellers switched off at around 85 knots. He described achieving that stage by the end of 2026 as a possibility, rather than a completed milestone.
The company plans to begin assembling its first certification-conforming prototype by year-end, fly it with a pilot by the end of 2027 and use six conforming aircraft in a programme targeting certification by the end of 2028. Eve remains focused on battery-electric urban air taxis. The update documents engineering progress and management’s roadmap; it does not establish that the aircraft is certified or ready for passenger service.
