Agility Robotics named Nyobolt as the battery-technology supplier for its upcoming Digit 5 humanoid on October 15, 2026. The companies say the system will provide 90 minutes of runtime and recharge in nine minutes, a 10:1 operating-to-charging ratio compared with Digit 4’s 2:1.

Agility says that performance could support more than 20 hours of work in a 24-hour day. For warehouse, distribution and manufacturing operators, the attraction is straightforward: less charging downtime could let the same robot cover more of a working day.

These are forward-looking performance claims for Digit 5, rather than independently verified results from a broadly deployed fleet. Early access to robots equipped with the Nyobolt system is expected in the first half of 2027, followed by increasing availability over the next six to nine months. Real-world utilization will depend on the robot’s tasks, reliability and operating conditions as well as battery performance. Source: Agility Robotics.
